It's amazing how sometimes you find stuff on the internet that you know makes perfect sense to be there, and yet somehow you never thought to search for it before. Jeshii has been studying Japanese for years now, and the X-man doesn't seem to have much interest in it. As for me, I don't know it at all except for the few words I picked up from watching anime. Well, one night as I was listening to some anime mp3s (The one that sticks out in my mind is the Card Captor Sakura song "Honey"), I stumbled upon
Animelyrics.com and spent some time trying to sing along to the songs. It was difficult, but fun-- And hopefully it will be easier when I take Japanese next semester because I was finally able to fit it into my schedule.
Groovy!! Moving on...
ATTENTION OLD-SCHOOL GAMERS: YOU NEED THISIf you have the latest versions of Direct X and ZSNES, and if you have the urge to play classic two-player SNES games online, now you can. A program called
Zbattle.net lets you chat with other users before you play games with or against them. While choppy framerates are common for dial-up users during peak hours, if you have a broadband connection, you're set. I played Super Mario Kart with Jeshii only a few days ago using it.
Lastly, I finished school almost two weeks ago now, and I've received my grades. Overall, I did pretty well but I would have preferred better. Here they are:
| Eastern Civilization II (Hist 192) | A |
| Concepts of Programming Languages (Comp 232) | A- |
| Political Science 490CA | A- |
| Western Civilization (Hist 150) | B+ |
| Fundamental Concepts of Mathematics (Math 326) | B |
That's it for now, later..
