Chapter 1 : The Dam That Gave Way to Quebec

The cracks of the ground are those of the sky.

I just love the installments that are so vague that they're incredibly open to interpretation. Oh, wait that's all of them! This is one of my personal favorite installments. It sounds so philosophical, you'd think we did it on purpose....

Things are going pretty well for me. I got a job (it's a nonpaying, voluntary job, but I'm so devoted to the material that it doesn't matter) as a staff member of Absolute GAMECUBE, an up and coming Gamecube news site. I'll be writing features and editorials for them, so you should check them out, they're a great bunch of people.

That's it for now, it's late and I'm tired.
Jeshii says:
Well, here it is. That took long enough. I'm drawing stuff these days. I can't wait until I get to some real neat stuff. This one didn't come out quite as I hoped, but it came out better in some ways. Learning. As for the next quote, let's hope it's here by Sunday. ;)

*sigh*TV Services (where I work on the UCSB campus) ate my brain tonight. I have no more brain. Thus... Minna! Genki o dashite! You know, I get the impression that the Japanese I'm learning I may never actually use in Japan cause I'll learn all this casual stuff... Why am I not learning that now? I need to watch more duraama.
RebelX says:
(I haven't done a rant for a while now, so this will be a long one. Look out.)

The rundown on the NBA playoffs so far:

Well, it's 10:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time on Wednesday, May 2, 2001, and the Sacramento Kings have just defeated the Phoenix Suns in game 4 of their first round playoff series in Phoenix, which means that they have also won the series. Us fans of the Lakers in Los Angeles now know our enemy in the second round (I told you Portland Trail Blazer fans we'd win, but did you listen?!). The other matchup that has been determined for the second round is the Charlotte Hornets vs. the Milwaukee Bucks (Charlotte beat the Miami Heat in three; Milwaukee beat the Orlando Magic in four). The Philadelphia 76ers won the series against the Indiana Pacers earlier tonight, and the San Antonio Spurs knocked off Minnesota's Timberwolves on Monday. The Sixers and Spurs still do not know their second-round opponents; the Spurs will face either the Utah Jazz or the Dallas Mavericks, and the Sixers will face either the New York Knicks or the Toronto Raptors. Both the New York-Toronto and Utah-Dallas series have gone to game five, and the outcomes of those series will be determined by the end of Friday. I will give my predictions for second round winners in the next rant, but right now, I predict that Utah will be San Antonio's opponent, and that Toronto (yes, the unfavored Toronto) will be Philly's opponent. When next we meet, we shall know for sure. Okay, I'm done. Whew!
